Fabricated units for pipeline joints protection are applied in construction, repair and upgrading of pipelines (diameter range 219 mm – 1420 mm) with external concrete weight coating with thickness range: 50 mm - 150 mm and installed in swamplands, water barriers (including offshore areas), in watered and swamping areas.
Fabricated Units for Pipeline Joints Protection and ballasting (hereinafter - FUPJP). FUPJP in a form of ring consists of two reinforced concrete segments around pipe (hereinafter - FUPJP half rings), being assembled by pins and nuts.
On the outer surface of FUPJP, technological and mounting loops are installed for handling and installation works. On sides of FUPJP half rings there are special notches with through holes are installed, used for mounting fasteners during installation of FUPJP on pipeline.
FUPJP is applied in construction, repair and upgrading of pipelines (diameter range 219 mm – 1420 mm) with external concrete weight coating with thicknesses range 50 mm - 150 mm, and installed in swamplands, water crossing (including offshore areas), in water flood and swamping areas.
